Illumine Portrait session – Kitchener Waterloo Photographer

I have had several families over the years that I have been able to photograph at different stages of their lives, and its always so fun to be a part of that. This portrait session is no exception. Not only did I photograph this mom and business woman last year as part of my Illumine…

Paula - What a beautiful and natural session. Love your use of light to showcase her stunning eyes.

Dena Robles - It takes a lot of trust to get in front of the camera AND to have your children’s important milestones documented as well. It is a testament to your skills, experience and professionalism to have the whole family hire you several times over!

Anna-Karin - What a beautiful woman, her eyes are so sparkly!
Good for her for making sure she is getting some beautiful portraits of her self. Her family will absolutely love having these as the years go by.

Shellie Gansz - She is beautiful and the way you capture and pose is perfection!

PamN - She is so lovely & serene…kudos to her for doing this, it can be hard to put yourself “out there” to be photographed, but it is so important for her family. They will treasure these forever!

High School Senior Portraits – Kitchener Waterloo Photographer

Spring is FINALLY in the air. How happy that makes everyone…the mood is light and bright everywhere you go! I am thinking the winter boots and coats will have to finally be packed up this week. And the snow tires are coming off…hopefully this will not lead to an early spring storm (and if it…

Paula - Beautiful images! I love the variety of portraits you captured and all the unique locations you used.

Anna-Karin - What a beautiful young woman! She is stunning and I can’t get over how beautiful these portraits are and how much variety you were able to capture during that session. I especially love the colors and the hockey stick included the one with the orange dress!

Illumine Beauty Photography – Kitchener Waterloo

And so ends another March Break – its nice and quiet around here this morning! Aaaahhhhhhhh…I am thinking I will spend the day sitting  by my fireplace today, with a latte and my laptop and get some creative work done. No, I am not thinking about doing that…I am DEFINTELY going to do that! Before…

Slide Film and Digital Files – why 40 years later, my mom has photos she never knew existed

Over the last few months, my family has been clearing out my grandparents home (as my poppy passed away a few years back and my nanny is now living in a seniors home). Sorting someone’s life’s ”collections” (not all of it good stuff as you can guess…like years of un-recyled newspapers LOL), is a daunting task….

Dena Robles - What a treasure to find! I am so guilty of not printing my digital photos of my own kids, I really really really need to be better about this.

lauri - I could sit for hours & hours looking through old photos. So glad you found these – they’re priceless!

Season - This is fantastic! And hey pale pink is always in style :-)

Danna - AMEN! Best blog post ever! So happy you found these treasures and I hope all our children can someday do the same, that our priceless family memories don’t become a victim of technology.

Anna Mayer - Thank you for sharing this. Just so special to see after all those years, I bet. My dad was a videographer and my step-mom spent endless hours converting our Super8′s turned VHS into DVD’s. What a treasure they are for us now. Capturing your life, whether with your own camera, with a professional or ideally, both, is one of the most priceless treasures parents and grandparents can leave behind. Way better than material goods.

Beautiful.

It’s A Family Thing – Family Photography Kitchener Waterloo

Here is another great family I thoroughly enjoyed meeting last year. The age ranges of the kids are a bit older than the typical family with kids portrait. And truthfully, this CAN be an awkward and uncomfortable time for kids to be photographed. One of these guys was not so easily won over, but whenever…
