“I have seen the sea when it is stormy and wild; when it is quiet and serene; when it is dark and moody. And in all its moods, I see myself.” Martin Buxbaum
Currently I am at sea, dark and moody, and learning to embrace the dark moods and ride them out, rather than fight and claw my way out. There are definitely things to be learned in these darker moments. And it definitely impacted my approach to a monthly photography challenge I was part of this month. Taking these cheery, bright daylilies and lavendar sprigs, and putting them on the same plan as my minds current state. I can definitely see the beauty in them, even with all the shadows and dark spaces.
(yes, I definitely need an afternoon by the pool or something haha! thankfully the weather looks to be cooperating for the weekend. Maybe alittle margaritaville will be on the agenda as well…no, it definitely will be on the agenda!)
